Sayna® Motor Oil Label Design

Design Challenges

Our main objective in creating the packaging for Sayna motor oil was to develop a creative and functional design that clearly presents the necessary information to consumers.

Brand Name Priority: Initially, we aimed to place the brand name at the forefront. However, during the design process, we realized that this approach did not resonate well with our audience and could confuse consumers and mechanics handling these containers.

Distinguishing Between Viscosities: Since a different color was designated for each type of motor oil, it was essential to design the background of each label according to the color of the respective container.

Visual Hierarchy: Another challenge was to clearly and legibly display key information such as viscosity and engine model.

Despite the variety of information and colors, it was crucial to maintain the visual identity of the brand across all labels and the primary box.

Our Design Solutions

Utilizing Visual Hierarchy: We implemented a visual hierarchy to present important information such as viscosity and engine series in larger, bolder text, ensuring it quickly attracts the audience’s attention. This critical information is executed in the most prominent part of the label with high contrast.

Color-Matched Design: The background of each label was designed to correspond with the color of its respective container, making the distinction between viscosities easily identifiable and significantly enhancing the visual appeal.

Meticulous Information Layout: We paid close attention to the arrangement of information, preserving order and consistency across all labels.

Incorporating Striking Imagery: To enhance the appeal of the labels, we used the image of an airplane turbine in the design, adding an engaging visual element.

By addressing these challenges and implementing our solutions, we created a packaging design that not only captures attention but also effectively communicates the essential information to the consumer.
